Pruett paces Eagles past White Plains

Sparked by a strong rushing performance from Bradley Pruett, Hokes Bluff defeated White Plains, 27-20, last Friday (Sept. 4) in the Eagles’ Class 4A, Region 6 opener at WPHS.

Pruett rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.

Landon Johnson gained 69 yards on nine attempts, while Cam Dowdy added 38 yards on eight rushes.

Dowdy led in tackles with 15, followed by Brett Roberts with 12 and Hayes Evans and Korey Stiefel with 10 each. Evans also had an interception. 

Hokes Bluff (1-1, 1-0) hosts Crossville this Friday (Sept. 11) in a region game.
