After allowing Florence to score 28 points, Gadsden City’s defense has come to the forefront and given up only two touchdowns in the past two games.

Unfortunately, the Oxford defense was just as stout, and a loss was recorded by the Titans to even their Class 6A, Region record at 1-1.

Last week, Gadsden City allowed only 145 total yards and that included the game’s only points – a 49-yard touchdown reception.

After defeating Arab to open the season, Albertville has run the gamut, losing to Pell City and Clay-Chalkville.

A win tonight would keep the Titans’ playoff hopes alive. A loss wouldn’t eliminate them from postseason consideration but it would put Gadsden City behind the 8-ball with upcoming region games against currently undefeated Pell City and second-ranked Clay-Chalkville in Weeks 6 and 7, resepctively.

Last week against Oxford, Sloan Tyler completed 14-of-19 passes for 74 yards, while Dante Rudolph rushed for 51 yards on 17 carries.
