Titans win second straight region title

Gadsden City clinched its second straight Class 6A Region 8 championship with a 41-0 shutout over Lee-Huntsville on Friday, Oct. 20 in Huntsville.
The victory was the Titans’ 10th straight in region play.
GCHS finished with a 250 to 115 edge over the Generals in total yards, including a 142 to 62 margin on the ground.
T.J. Worthy (pictured above) paced the GCHS rushing attack with 125 yard and three touchdowns on 14 carries.
Luke Waldrop was 6 for 15 in passing for 108 yards and a touchdown, with Justin Peoples catching three passes for 47 yards.
Kevin Brooks and Nemo Samples each had six tackles.
The Titans, who have an open date in Week 10, close out the regular season at home against Calera on Friday, Nov. 27.
