Westbrook Christian improved to 2-0 in Class 3A Region 6 play with a 27-7 victory over Saks on Friday. Sept. 6 in Rainbow City.
The Warrior defense allowed only 132 yards, including just nine in the passing game.
The Westbrook offense rolled up 277 yards, including 252 by quarterback Brody Blevins. He rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns and was 9 for 15 in passing for 90 yards. Brody Johnson had four receptions for 30 yards.
Titus Jones and Easton Skaggs each had 11 tackles, with Skaggs having five for a loss. Noah Wright and Max Legg both had seven tackles, followed by Brooks Whiteside with six and Jackson Ramsey, Jake Haney and Taylor Brown with four each. Wright and Ramsey both had a sack, while Maximus Jones, Titus Jones and Luke Thompson each recovered a fumble.
The Warriors continue region play on Friday, Sept. 13 at Locust Fork.
