Darden Rehabilitation holds annual awards luncheon

Darden Rehabilitation Foundation recognized employees and employers at its annual luncheon and award ceremony on October 29.

Darden helps individuals with disabilities that pose a challenge to employment to find jobs. The foundation serves five counties. 

Judge Joe Nabors swore in new officers for the foundation. Program Coordinator Dana Johnson presented the awards.

Delta Kappa to host Christmas Extravaganza

Delta Kappa Gamma Beta Omicron Chapter will host a Christmas Extravaganza on November 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Noccalula Falls Kiwanis Pavilion 1.

About 22 vendors will sell a variety of goods including clothes, jewelry, wreaths, candles and more. The event is the perfect opportunity to start Christmas shopping.

Gadsden Job Corps welcomes new director

The Gadsden Job Corps Center welcomed new director Juvenel Levros on August 10. 

Levros was born in New York, and raised in Rhode Island. He worked in the film industry, including on a popular Verizon commercial. However, Levros was driven by a desire to help people. When he was younger, he aspired to be a teacher.
