Delta Kappa Gamma Beta Omicron Chapter will host a Christmas Extravaganza on November 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Noccalula Falls Kiwanis Pavilion 1.

About 22 vendors will sell a variety of goods including clothes, jewelry, wreaths, candles and more. The event is the perfect opportunity to start Christmas shopping.

“There’s a lot of homemade items,” said event organizer Patti Shields.

The Girl Scouts will be selling hot chocolate and snacks.

The money raised from the event will fund the Delta Kappa Gamma’s Scholarship Fund. The sorority provides a $500 scholarship to a female student entering the education field. The scholarships are awarded based on merit. The deadline for applications is in April.

This chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma boasts a membership of 65. The members, aging from 20s to 80s, are all involved in education, from preschool teachers to college professors.
