Titans come up short against Oak Mountain

Oak Mountain outscored Gadsden State 10-0 in the second half post a 17-7 victory in Class 7A, Region 6 action on September 3 in Birmingham.
After Luke Waldrop’s 14-yard touchdown pass to Khamari Smith in the second quarter tied the game at 7-7, the Eagles scored a touchdown in third quarter and a field goal in the fourth period to secure the win.
Waldrop was 15 for 28 in passing for 124 yards, while Smith caught seven passes for 59 yards. C.J. Miler rushed for 59 yards on seven carries. Jackson Veasey, Rodney Johnson and Samuel Horton each had five tackles.
Gadsden City continues region play this Friday (Sept. 10) at home against second-ranked Hoover.
