The Gadsden City High School Marching Band left Alabama Sunday, November 19 heading for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the oldest Thanksgiving parade in the United States.
The Titans were selected to perform in the parade, which will begin at 8:30 a.m. Thanksgiving morning.
On their way to Philadelphia, the band stopped at Washington, D.C. to see the White House, New Jersey to visit Lincoln Harbor and New York to take a dinner cruise and watch a Broadway musical before visiting Times Square.
After the parade they will travel back to Washington D.C. to take in some historical sites.
The parade itself is a historical event to witness.
The Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade began in 1920 and is the oldest Thanksgiving parade in America — it is even four years older than the famous Macy’s Day parade.
The Philly city streets will be stuffed with decked-out floats, towering balloons and performances by musicians, dancers, marching bands and more.
Even Santa will make an appearance, officially ushering the city into the holiday season.
