LEAD AND COPPER MONITORING

VIOLATION 2023

The Town of Walnut Grove Water Works is required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis.  Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not your drinking water meets health standards.  During January 2021-December 2023, we did not monitor for all of the required lead and copper samples and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of your drinking water during that time.

Failure to take the samples was an oversight.  We are scheduled now to take the samples during the monitoring period of June through September 2024.  Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses).

If you have any questions concerning this violation or our water quality, please contact Mr. Randall Green in our office at the Town Hall or by phone at 205-589-2553.
