Gadsden, AL – This week, Gadsden Mayor Craig Ford announced the addition of Dawn O’Sullivan to his administrative staff. O’Sullivan is the mayor’s new executive assistant, replacing Britnee Perkins, who recently joined the staff at District Court.
“Dawn is a wonderful addition to our team,” said Ford. “She has extensive experience in government, and we’re glad to have her on board to share her insights and help keep things running smoothly at City Hall.”
O’Sullivan has more than 30 years of experience as a paralegal, covering both criminal and civil legal matters, including municipal law. She has also worked for 10 years at the county level and five years at the city level.
“During my time in city and county government, I’ve gained a substantial working knowledge of administrative processes, their development and implementation,” O’Sullivan said. “I’m excited to be a part of the mayor’s office and all the great things going on in Gadsden.”
On the personal side, her husband of 32 years has decades of experience as a police chief and officer, and he is currently working for the U.S. Marshals as federal courthouse security.
O’Sullivan has a son who is a Gadsden firefighter, a daughter who is a stay-at-home mom, and a son-in-law in the Army. She has two grandkids and is expecting another grandchild in October.
