The Attalla Fall Festival was held on Sept. 17 at Carnes Recreation Center. Hosted by the Council on Aging and the Attalla Senior Program, the annual event draws hundreds of seniors for entertainment, free information health screenings and more. This year’s theme was about farmers, so seniors showed up in overalls, straw hats and cowboy boots. Tickets were provided for a prize walk and the opportunity to have pictures taken on the large John Deere tractor out front.

The festival is an important event for the community that promotes healthy living practices for seniors and gives them a chance to find out valuable tips while socializing and enjoying each other’s company.  City of Attalla senior program director Donna Lee looks forward to the event for her group of seniors, as well as all other seniors in the area.

Cloggers entertained the participants and invited seniors up to dance along in the performance. City of Attalla Mayor Larry Means and his wife Karen evened joined in on the fun!
