The Downtown Dance Conservatory is holding the second annual Tutu 2K on Thursday, September 17 at 6 p.m. on Broad Street in downtown Gadsden.

The run will benefit the dance conservatory’s programs and students. The Downtown Dance Conservatory teaches more than 300 students weekly. Students take part in charity events, history projects and other outreach programs.

As a fundraiser, the object of the run is fun. Anyone can participate, regardless of age or ability. The only requirement is that attendees must wear a tutu.

Winners will receive awards. Participants can win door prizes.

Tutus may be bought, borrowed or made beforehand, but tutus will be available for purchase at the event. T-shirts will also be sold.

Registration is $25 for individuals. Registration for families of three to six people is $55. Registration includes a free t-shirt.
