Animal Health Care collecting Humane Society donations

Just because Christmas is over, doesn’t mean that the Christmas spirit of giving should be over.  It is the perfect time to help those in need, like the animals of the Humane Society.

Until the end of the year, Animal Health Care will be accepting donations of items for the Humane Society Pet Rescue and Adoption Center.

The wish list includes bleach and paper towels for cleaning, dog and cat toys for entertainment, fleece bedding for the animals’ comfort, Purina dog, cat, puppy and kitten food, and cheese whiz to more easily medicate sick animals.

They have been fortunate to receive donations at the Gadsden Christmas parade, but more donations are always helpful.

The Humane Society Pet Rescue and Adoption Center is a center for animal adoptions. The Society also provides animal control sheltering services for the cities of Gadsden and Attalla.  The shelter houses animals brought in by the public, strays, and all animals brought in by animal control officers in the contracted municipalities, including animals involved in cruelty cases.

For more information on donating, call Animal Health Care at 256-442-2967.

Animal Health Care is a full service veterinary clinic that treats cats and dogs. The office is located at 217 West Grand Avenue in Rainbow City.
