The Ashville boys and girl track and field teams swept the Lincoln Meet No. 5 on April 18.
The AHS boys won five events and 13 medals to top second-place Alexandria, 138 to 102, in total points.
The Lady Bulldogs’ margin of victory was a bit closer with a 132 to 128.50 edge over runner-up Alexandria. The AHS girls captured six events, including three by Taylor Knight (pictured above) and two by Emma Drinkard.
Joe Stevens and Ashton Vann both won one individual event and were members of the AHS boys’ first-place 4×800-meter relay team.
Also winning gold medals were Etowah’s Josh Graham in the boys 300-meter hurdles and Gaston’ Kodie Bogle in the boys javelin.
