Carolyn “Ann” Renfroe

GADSDEN – Carolyn “Ann” Renfroe, of Gadsden, AL, entered into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

Born on June 22, 1946, to Ray and Gaynell Dickson. Ann lived a life devoted to faith, family, and friendship. She accepted Christ and faithfully attended Pine Grove Baptist Church until she was no longer able.

Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched many lives with her kindness, prayers, and unwavering faith. She enjoyed watching The Young and the Restless, Gunsmoke, and The Bold and the Beautiful.

She is joyfully reunited in Heaven with her loving husband and soulmate, Melvin George Renfroe; parents, Ray and Gaynell Dickson; sister, Glenda Watkins; grandchild, David Blake Morgan; great-grandchild, Zuzu Townsel; and her beloved cat, Milo.

Cherishing her memory are her son, David Morgan (Janice); daughter, Sharon Page; and stepson, Dewayne Renfroe (Meri). Grandchildren: Clint Pickett (Courtney), David Morgan Jr. (Emily), Tiffany Lockridge (Matthew), Ashley McCown (Danny), and Heather Townsel (Dallas). Great-grandchildren: Cole Pickett (Ashlyn), Sedrick Pickett (Macii), Chloe Pickett, Caden McCown, Madalyn Lockridge, Rae McCown, Riley McCown, Xander Townsel, Bexton Townsel, and Morgan Lockridge. Great-great-grandchild: Toccoa Pickett.

The family extends heartfelt appreciation to Jordan Hutchins for the extraordinary care and compassion provided to “Nanny.” Your presence brought peace and light during a difficult journey.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home, with the funeral service and graveside to follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Pastor Kenneth Jacobs will officiate.

Richard Brown, Byron Moore, Mark Fisher, Mike Lovett and Mike Huie.

Honorary Pallbearers:

David Morgan Jr., Matthew Lockridge, Danny McCown, Caden McCown and Dallas Townsel.

The family asks that you honor Ann by attending church, spending time with loved ones, or doing something kind for someone.
