The Chamber of Gadsden and Etowah County announced on Monday, Nov. 25 that Philip Hall has been named the new president and CEO, effective January 1, 2025.
Current President and CEO Christi Robinson announced in October that she would be stepping down “to pursue a business opportunity.” Following that announcement, The Chamber underwent a search for a new leader before selecting Hall, who is currently serving as the Business Development Manager for the organization.
“We are incredibly excited for Philip to take on this new leadership role,” said Bethanne Mashburn, the chairwoman of the chamber’s board of directors. “His dedication and passion for our community is inspiring. He has some big shoes to fill, but we are confident he is up for the challenge.”
The Chamber is a nonprofit organization servicing business and industry partners in Etowah County. Its mission statement is “The Chamber of Gadsden & Etowah County’s mission is to be a catalyst for economic growth in Etowah County by serving member businesses through advocacy, education, and community partnerships.”
“The Etowah Chamber has grown to become one of the most active chambers in the state of Alabama,” Hall said.“I have been blessed to be surrounded by such a wonderful team and led by a great example of what I can aspire to become as the next President and CEO. We have accomplished so much towards the growth and development of our small businesses, but look forward to doing so much more. I cannot wait to take the next steps in continuing our relationships with all municipalities, schools and businesses in Etowah County and being an advocate for our members. I am truly honored to step into this role and build on the strong foundation laid before me. It’s time to create even more opportunities for businesses to thrive and for our community to flourish.”
