Clark paces Cardinals at ACCC meet

Gadsden State’s Jordan Clark (pictured above) finished in the top 10 at the Alabama Community College Conference cross country meet on Oct. 27 in Huntsville.
Clark’s time of 21:04.95 was good for sixth place out of 58 runners in the women’s 5K. Her performance helped the Lady Cardinals finish fourth out of 10 teams. Gadsden State is ranked 10th in the nation in the latest USTFCCCA cross country poll. ““““““`
Also competing for Gadsden State were Lexi Byrd in 21st place at 22:43.73, Lacey Rich in 25th place at 23:12.70, Gaby More in 27th place at 23:20.87, Keira Johnson in 29th place at 23:25.38 and McKinley Kay in 35th place at 24:45.57.
Pacing Gadsden State in the men’s 8K was Lane Griffin, who posted a 15th place time of 28:30.84 out of 90 runners. Following Griffin for the Cardinals were Ashton Vann in 29th place at 29:44.06, Conner Strawn in 32nd place at 30:00.46, DeShaun Foster in 46th place at 31:05.80, Jonah Medders in 50th place at 31:48.40 and Travis Colley in 60th place at 33:06.50.
Both teams will compete in the NJCAA meet on Nov. 11 in Huntsville.
