Trunk or Treat

Family Success Center will hold a free Trunk or Treat event from 11 a.m. – 1p.m. at 821 E. Broad Street in Gadsden. There will be music, games and a lot of candy! The event is wheelchair accessible. For more information, call 256-547-6888.

Glencoe Fall Fest

The City of Glencoe will host the annual Fall Fast from 5 – 8 p.m. at Hollingsworth Park. There will be free hot dogs, drinks, trunk or treat, bouncy houses and more.

Rainboo City Fall Festival

The City of Rainbow City will host the Rainboo City Fall Festival from 5:30 – 9 p.m. at Vivian Lee Maddox Sports Complex. There will be food trucks, a flashlight candy hunt and a showing of the movie Monsters Inc. Attendees are asked to bring blankets, chairs, bag or bucket for candy and flashlights. The event is free to attend.

Oct. 31

Attalla Boo Bash

The City of Attalla’s Boo Bash will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. at Larry Means Field at 201 Case Ave. There will be food trucks, candy, vendors and more. For more information, call 256-538-9266.

Nov. 22 – 24

Nutcracker Princess

Experience all the magic of the holiday classic with original costume designs, dazzling scenery and a host of characters as the Downtown Dance Conservatory presents “The Nutcracker Princess at Gadsden City High School. The Downtown Dance Artists Company perform along with a children’s cast. Show times are Friday, November 22 at 6 p.m., Saturday, November 23 at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 23 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, November 24 at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.

A Country Christmas At The Venue

Smith Tomato will present the 4th annual “A Country Christmas Event at the Coosa Landing” on November 23 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Over 70 art and craft vendors and food vendors will be present. There will be free pictures with Santa Claus and a table to write letters to Santa. Admission is $8 per person, kids 12 and under are free.

Nov. 28 – Jan. 4

Christmas at The Falls

Christmas at The Falls will begin on Thursday, Nov. 28 from, 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. and will run through Jan. 4. The exhibit will be closed from Dec. 24 -25. Come see millions of Christmas lights! Tickets are on sale now. Call 256-549-4663 or visit NoccalulaFallsPark.com

Christmas on the Coosa

Get ready for the 2nd annual Christmas on the Coosa ice-skating experience. The ice rink returns on Nov. 29 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The real ice rink near Moragne Park will close for the season on Jan. 4. For more information, call Janet Tarrance at 256-549 4658 or Valerie Galbreath at 256-549-4643.

Plaid Friday

Plaid Friday and Small Business Saturday are coming to downtown Gadsden Nov. 29 – 30. Wear your plaid with pride and shop local. Visit downtown Gadsden for Plaid Friday and shop and dine with our small businesses. Avoid the rush of Black Friday and spend an enjoyable day with friends and family instead. Santa will be walking around too.

Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting

Join the City of Southside for a Christmas Parade and tree lighting event at Southside City Hall from 5 – 7 p.m. Dec. 2. The free event will feature food trucks, the Pride of Southside Marching Band and Santa will also make an appearance. For more information, contact City Hall.

Gadsden Christmas Parade

Join the City of Gadsden for the annual Christmas Parade down Broad Street. The parade begins at 6 p.m.

Dec. 5

Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting

Join the City of Attalla for a Christmas Parade and tree lighting event in downtown Attalla. The tree lighting will be held at 5:30 p.m. and the parade will begin at 6 p.m. The event is free to attend.

Dec. 6

Christmas Tree Lighting

Join the City of Gadsden for a Christmas tree lighting event at 344 South 1st Street at 6 p.m. Music from the Theatre of Gadsden Christmas Carolers will begin at 5 p.m. and music from Gadsden Christmas Brass Band will begin at 5:15 p.m. The event is free to attend.

Miracle on 34th Street

See Miracle on 34th Street hosted by Theatre of Gadsden at the Ritz Theatre. Show times are Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m., Sunday, ​Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. Tickets prices vary between $13-$20. Christmas in Keener

The third annual, Christmas in Keener is bigger than ever before. Make plans to join at the Vintage Christmas Market featuring 40+ shopping vendors, food trucks, kids zone, classic cars, live music and so much more. The event will be held between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at 2817 Little Wills Valley Road in Attalla.

Santa Visits Smokeneck

Santa is coming to Smokeneck Farm in Southside. Visit with Santa from 12 – 3 p.m. Grab photos with Santa before he heads back to the North Pole. The event is free. Smokeneck Farm & Garden is located at 2191 Hwy. 77 in Southside.

Kings of Swing Concert

Enjoy a free concert by Kings of Swing Orchestra from 6 – 9 p.m. at Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts located at 501 Broad Street in Gadsden.

Dec. 14

Southside Christmas Village

Join the City of Southside for the Southside Christmas Village from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will take place at Southside City Hall. The event is free to attend. There will be food trucks and arts and crafts vendors. If you would like to be an Arts & Craft Vendor, please register at cityofsouthside.recdesk.com

Snacks with Santa

Join Imagination Place for the annual Snacks with Santa event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The free event will be held at 501 Broad Street in Gadsden. Children can visit with Santa while enjoying free snacks provided by Downtown Gadsden, Inc. Parents are welcome to take pictures. Visiting with Santa and the snacks are free thanks to Downtown Gadsden, Inc. All Hardin Center members and those purchasing regular admission may stay and enjoy Let it Snow and Imagination Place.

A Country Christmas

William Lee Golden and the Goldens are set to perform A Country Christmas at the Venue at Coosa Landing on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. Ticket prices vary.

Dec. 31

Countdown to Noon

Countdown to noon to celebrate the New Year at a child-appropriate time in Imagination Place. Enjoy noisemakers, a balloon drop and snacks. Free for members, included with admission for non-members.
