Floyd installed as Civitans’ president

 Jack Floyd was installed as president of the Gadsden Civitan Club last month by District Governor Pat Jex McKemy.
    Floyd has been a civitan for 60 years, serving as district Governor in 1958-59. He also served as president of the Alabama City Civitan Club.
    Floyd’s father George was a long-time civitan, serving as president of the Alabama City Civitan Club.
    The Gadsden Club honored Floyd by making him a Civitan International Reserach Center Fellow. He is a former state senator.
    John Floyd, Jack’s son, is following in the family tradition. He is completing a successful year as club president.
    John Floyd was selected as the 2011-12 Outstanding Civitan.
    The Gadsden Club honored him by making him a Civitan International Research Center Fellow at the conclusion of his year as club president.
    Kent Henslee, the immediate past president, has been a civitan for 53 years. His father, Doug, served as club president in 1955-56.
    The club honored Henslee by making him a Civitan International Research Center Fellow. All three of these officers are attorneys.
