GRMC to host stroke screenings

As part of National Stroke Awareness Month, the Gadsden Regional Medical Center Stroke Team will host stroke screenings on May 28 and May 30.

The screenings will be outside the cafeteria on the first floor of the hospital.

On both days, screenings will be held from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and again from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The public is invited to stop by and participate.

There will be blood pressure checks, educational materials and much more. The screenings are free and will be provided first come, first serve.

Members of the GRMC Stroke Team are Dr. Olga Bogdonova, Cathy Bottoms, Debbie Brooks, Cody Davis, Mona Dempsey, Dr. Djiby Diop, David Ellis, Wendy Fincher, Teresa Fleming, Chief Quality Officer Lisa Henderson, Chief Nursing Officer Donna Nicholson, Tim Pesnell, Jessica Pitcock, Santos Smith and April Ward.
