Hardin Center celebrates 25 years with lawn party

The Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts will host a big band lawn party as part of their year-long 25th anniversary celebration. The party will be held on the lawn of the Gunn Bellenger house on May 17 and will feature the Kings of Swing Orchestra, which have been entertaining Gadsden and the surrounding area since 1994.

Participants are encouraged to bring a chair, or even a blanket and a picnic basket. Coolers are welcome.

The party will run from 4 to 6 p.m., weather permitting, and the Gunn Bellenger house will be open for those who wish to see the inside of the house and all of the improvements that have been made.

The event is free of charge and open to the public.  For more information, call 256-543-2787 or visit www.culturalarts.org.
