Week 10 Previews and Predictions

Thursday, May 15 – Sunday, May 18

Florida at Tennessee. The Gators are one win away from clinching the SEC East outright and likely will be the top overall seed in the SEC Tournament. Tennessee is in jeopardy of missing the conference tourney if it loses two or more games this weekend. Series Prediction: Florida 2, Tennessee 1.

Arkansas at Missouri. The Tigers are already out of postseason contention, while the Razorbacks are just one win away from securing a berth in the conference tournament. Series Prediction: Arkansas 3, Missouri 0.

Kentucky at Georgia. Georgia is only a half game ahead of Auburn for 12th in the SEC standings, and one of the two teams likely will miss the postseason. Depending on how Auburn does against LSU, the Bulldogs might need as many as three wins against the Wildcats. Series Prediction: Kentucky 2, Georgia 1.

LSU at Auburn. Auburn needs to play its best series of the year this weekend, because if the Tigers don’t win at least two games, they likely will miss the postseason. LSU could win the SEC West with a sweep over Auburn, although the Baton Rouge squad would need Ole Miss and Mississippi State to lose this weekend. Series Prediction: LSU 3, Auburn 0.

Ole Miss at Texas A&M. The Rebels control their own destiny in the SEC West in that if they sweep the Aggies they win the division outright. Texas A&M needs one win the secure a bid to the SEC Tournament.

Mississippi State at Alabama. Both the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide have an outside chance at winning the SEC West. Both squads also are locks for the SEC Tournament and have a good chance at making the NCAA Tournament as well. Series Prediction: Mississippi State 2, Alabama 1.

Series of the Week

These are two of the best teams in the conference and in the nation, and both are looking to gain confidence entering the postseason. Series Prediction: Vanderbilt 2, South Carolina 1.
