Glencoe is in a playoff situation already.

Basically, it’s win or stay home for the Yellow Jackets.

“I’m excited about it,” coach Lee Ozmint said. “With the exception of one game, the kids have done what they needed to do down the stretch. I’m proud of them because they’ve played to the best of their abilities, and that’s all you can ask.”

Ashville comes in with yet another new coach. The Bulldogs have had seven coaches since 2000.

“They’re very athletic,” Ozmint said of Ashville. “Man for man, it’s hard for us to match up with them. But it’s a team game, thank goodness.”

Bulldog linebacker E.J. Moss is a Division I prospect and he is surrounded by a lot of other talented players.

“If we overlook them, we’ll be in a heck of a mess,” Ozmint said. “Again, if we lose, we sit at home in the first round of the playoffs.”

Last week against Susan Moore, Dylan Stone finished with 155 rushing yards on 20 carries, while Thomas Ozmint ran 14 times for 90 yards.

Stone went 11-for-18 in passing for 135 yards, while Pace Ozmint caught three passes for 60 yards.

Houston Word, Mason Brown, Chance Duncan and Will Parker each had seven tackles.

Duncan had a sack and Andrew Lang had an interception.
