Lady Pats whip Titans in opener

West End opened the 2012 softball season with a win over Gadsden City on Feb. 23, whipping the Titans, 11-4, at Emma Sansom.

The top of the Lady Pats’ offense devastated the Lady Titans. 

Leadoff batter Haley Fulenwider and second-hole hitter Morgan Cleveland each slapped singles in the first, second and fourth innings. Brooke Copeland and Courtney Oliver earned rbi’s in each inning.

Morgan Cleveland tallied nine strikeouts to earn the win.

Haley Fulenwider and Morgan Cleveland paced West End’s offense with three hits and three runs scored. Brooke Cleveland and Joni Goss each had three hits.
