Public Meeting Notice
The Glencoe Water and Sewer Board will a hold a public meeting on Thursday, May 9th, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at the Board office located at 203 West Chastain Boulevard, Glencoe, Alabama to discuss the environmental information document and related items required as part of the submission of an application for funding through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund-American Rescue Plan Act-Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (DWSRF-ARPA/BIL) as administered by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING ON PROPOSED TAX INCENTIVE AGREEMENT WITH GUTHRIE’S
The City Council of the City of Attalla will hold a public meeting on May 10, 2023 at 10:30 a.m., immediately following the council meeting, to consider the adoption of a resolution authorizing a tax incentive agreement with Guthrie’s Attalla, LLC authorized to do business in Attalla, Alabama.
The incentive is a 3-year tax abatement of one-half of Attalla’s 5% sales tax. The incentive will end before the 3-year expiration date if the total of $75,000 is reached before then. All amounts will begin being calculated from the time the business opened to the public. The business opened on October 13, 2022. The proposed agreement states that the city will make quarterly payments to Guthrie’s. The City of Attalla seeks to increase employment and to in-crease the tax and revenue base of the city. All interested persons may examine and review the Agreement and Resolution in the office of the City Clerk during normal business hours, before and after the meeting referenced herein.
