Locals make AHSAA Prep Football Spotlight

Several area student-athletes were recognized for the Alabama High School Athletic Association Prep Football Spotlight.
Coosa Christian senior halfback Jy Mostella rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns – two of which came in the fourth quarter when the game was tied – in the Conquerors’ 35-20 victory over Decatur Heritage. Mostella also returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown.
Southside junior halfback Mason Teague rushed for 228 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries in the Panthers’ 42-20 win over Springville.
Gadsden City senior safety K’Rysiak Yow (pictured above) finished with eight tackles and a sack in the Titans’ 18-0 win against Fort Payne.
