Riverview holds heart health fair

Riverview Regional Medical Center recognizes American Heart Month, celebrated each February, on Feb. 22 with a Cardiovascular Health Fair offering valuable screenings for only $25.

Riverview Regional Medical Center invites the public to the 2014 Cardiovascular Health Fair, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Feb. 22.

The event, which takes place at Riverview’s Heart and Vascular Center, includes cholesterol and glucose screening, EKG, PAD (peripheral arterial disease), and blood pressure screening. A continental breakfast will be provided.

The cost is $25 per person. Reservations are necessary for this popular event, and can be made by calling (256) 543-5741. The event is open to people ages 18 and older.

Fasting is required for the cholesterol and glucose screening.
