Southside, Glencoe, Ashville come up short

Southside finished the regular season with a 45-7 loss to Pell City on Friday, Nov. 1 at Pell City
The Panthers (6-4, 5-1) host Mountain Brook in the first round of the Class 6A state playoffs on Friday, Nov. 8.

Ashville (1-9, 1-6) ended its season with a 55-21 loss to St. Clair County on Friday, Nov. 1 at AHS. The Bulldogs’ scoring came on Jamon Williams’ 70-yard touchdown pass to Nate Huckbay, J.B. Potter’s 14-yard TD pass to Mike Tindall and Allen Griffiths’ 1-yard TD run.
Potter (pictured above at left) was 11 for 20 in passing for 157 yards and two touchdowns.

Glencoe closed out its season with a 48-10 loss to Class 3A Region 6 rival Piedmont on Friday, Oct. 1 at Glencoe. The Yellow Jackets finished the year with a 2-8 record over all and a 1-7 mark in region play.
