Westbrook Christian’s Ali Porter tied for the state title at the Class 1A-5A girls state high school golf tournament on Monday and Tuesday in Prattville.
Porter and Alexandria’ Jordan Gregoria both finished with an overall score of 151. Porter was Tuesday’s low medalist with a two-over par 74 score.
The Lady Warriors finished third with an overall score of 489, behind 5A Muscle Shoals (472) and 4A Alexandria (487).
Also individually for Westbrook, Ella Lawley finished 12th with a 167 total score, April Godsey 15th at 171 and Hope Cone 20th at 180.
The Westbrook Christian boys golf team tied for second place in the Class 1A-2A state high school golf tournament on Monday and Tuesday in Prattville.
The Warriors and St. Luke’s both finished with an overall 593 score, 11 points behind state champion Providence Christian.
Individually for Westbrook, Harrison Martin finished in a four-way tie for second place with a 142 score. Parker Brown and John Catanzaro tied for 10th place at 149, Matthew Williams placed 19th at 153 and Jonathan Nichols finished 27th at 172.
The Glencoe High boys finished fifth at the Class 3A state golf tournament on Monday and Tuesday in Prattville.
The Yellow Jackets finished with a 643 score.
Individually for Glencoe, Jack Sims tied for 16th with a 156 score, followed Garrison Clowdus in a tie for 21st at 160, Caleb Robinson in a tie for 24th at 165, Cole Fairley 30th at 168 and Andrew Lang tied for 32nd at 171.
Glencoe’s Hope Bishop and Madison Cole finished sixth and 14th, respectively, at the Class 1A-5A girls state high school golf tournament on Monday and Tuesday in Prattville.
Bishop finished with an overall score of 157, while Cole shot 169.
