The Westbrook Christian girls golf team finished with an overall 257 score to win the Class 1A-3A, Section 3 Tournament on Monday (Apr. 25) at Silver Lakes’ Heartbreaker and Backbreaker courses, par 72.
The Lady Warriors advanced to the North 2 sub-state playoffs this Monday (May 2) at Gadsden Country Club.
Glencoe’s Lauren Cole qualified for the sub-state as an individual with a score of 83. Cole defeated Westbrook’s Ellie Porter for runner-up low medalist in a sudden death playoff on Backbreaker No. 9 (par to bogey).
Porter led Westbrook with an 83 score, followed by Hope Cone with 85, Gracie Guyton with 89 and Sydney Fairchild with 94.
