Worthy flashes versatility in GCHS win over Mae Jemison

T.J. Worthy finished with 237 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns on eight touches as Gadsden City clinched the third playoff seed in Class 6A Region 8 with a 35-2 victory over Mae Jemison on Friday, Oct. 25 at GCHS.
Worthy (pictured above at right) caught a pair of touchdowns passes, one for 63 yards and another for 71 yards, and ran a kickoff back 84 yards for a score.
Kai Franklin (pictured above at left) was 9 for 14 in passing for 253 yards and four touchdowns. His other TD passes were to Alex Swafford for 14 yards and Matthew Sparks for nine yards.
Sparks had three receptions for 40 yards, while Swafford caught two passes for 40 yards. Christopher Tomas went 5-for-5 on extra points.
Tremonte Williams had eight tackles, while Kemarion Huff had five, including three for a loss. Huff also had two sacks.
The Titans (6-3, 4-2) travel to Clay-Chalkville on Nov. 8 in the first round of the state playoffs.
