Gadsden Music Club celebrates 100 years

The Gadsden Music Club is celebrating 100 years of supporting Gadsden’s musical community.
The Club is hosting a reception at the Temple Beth Israel, located at 761 Chestnut Street in Gadsden, on April 26 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. The entertainment for the reception will be music from club members and the club’s scholarship recipients.
Gadsden Runner’s Club to host youth 5K
The Gadsden Runner’s Club is hosting an Kids Superhero Bolt. The kids only 5K and 1-mile race will be held April 19 at 2 p.m.

The Woman’s Club of Gadsden will hold its 6th annual Southern Tea and Boutiques on April 25 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on lawn of the Woman’s Club located at 862 Chestnut Street. Williams to be inducted into AAMU Hall of Fame
The Alabama A&M University Alumni Association, Inc., will induct four individuals into the prestigious Alumni Hall of Fame Thursday, April 30, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Huntsville, at 7 p.m. The group is being honored for the university support, public service and career success of its respective individuals.

GRMC announces employee of March
Bobby Robertson, an employee in Gadsden Regional Medical Center’s Facilities Management department, was named the hospital’s Employee of the Month for March.
Robertson works as the utility tech lead for the department and has been with Gadsden Regional for more than seven years.
A nomination submitted for Robertson called him a “hard worker,” who “always wants to learn more.”
