Coosa Christian’s Hampton to play in North/South softball game

Alaina Hampton received some unexpected but good news following her initial season with the Coosa Christian softball team.
The junior catcher recently was one of 18 players across the state named to the North roster for the 2016 All-Star softball game in a doubleheader beginning at 6 p.m. on July 19 at Lagoon Park in Montgomery.

Lady Warriors blank Fultondale in first round

Makenna Beard and Alexis Beard each finished with two goals and one assist in Westbrook’s Christian’s 7-0 shutout over Fultondale in the first round of the Class 1A-3A girls state playoffs on Tuesday (May 3) in Rainbow City.
The Lady Warriors (22-0-0) host Altamont this Saturday (May 7) in a second round game.

Lady Warriors win sub-state golf tournament, advance to state

The Westbrook Christian girls golf team won the Class 1A-3A Girls North sub-state tournament on Monday (May 2) at the Gadsden Country Club.
The Lady Warriors, who finished with an overall score of 248, will compete in the Class 3A state tournament this Monday and Tuesday (May 9-10) at Hampton Cove in Huntsville.
