Area volleyball teams compete at North Super Regionals

Several local volleyball teams competed at the recent AHSAA North Super Regional Tournament in Huntsville.
Last Thursday (Oct. 24), Class 5A, Southside opened with a 25-18, 25-9, 25-16 win over Sardis, then lost to Guntersville,12- 25, 20-25, 18-25 in the quarterfinal round. Southside finished the season with a 47-14 record, while Sardis went 23-18.
In Class 4A, Hokes Bluff lost to Brooks, 19-25, 19-25, 23-25.
In Class 3A, Glencoe lost to Westminster Christian, 7-25, 22-25, 17-25.
On Friday, Oct. 25, Class 2A Westbrook Christian fell to Cedar Bluff, 25-17, 25-21, 18-21, 25-18.
