Coosa Valley YMCA President/CEO LeRoy Falcon recently accepted a position as the CEO for Mississippi’s Metropolitan YMCAs.
Falcon joined the local YMCA in Gadsden in 2008 and was a driving force in the organization’s program growth and debt reductions. He recently led the YMCA staff and community volunteers through a strategic process that has positioned the YMCA to operate in a new and innovative model resulting in less operational cost and more program flexibility to expand the YMCA’s program outreach. Falcon’s strength in community networking and collaborations has leveraged the YMCA to be a leading community partner agency as well as leader within the local United Way.
While serving in Gadsden, Falcon was recognized as YMCA Director of the Year for his work in association debt reduction and received the Lane Scott Christian Leadership Award for the example he set as a servant leader within his YMCA and community. Falcon’s YMCA career demonstrates his commitment to the YMCA’s mission, its core values, its volunteers, their employees and the community.

I can feel good walking away knowing that the Y is still operating today and still has a local presence. I hope the community will embrace and support the new YMCA programs that have been put in place for the future.”
Falcon is married to his wife Patricia for 27 years. The couple has two adult children, Kate and Lane.
“Moving to Alabama and Southside 15 years ago will go down as one of my life’s better decisions,” said Falcon. “The community helped me and Patricia raise two wonderful children. Their futures are very bright because of the support and experiences they were given while growing up here. We love this area and we love the people here and we love Alabama.”
