Southside extends winning streak to four games

Southside won its fourth straight game on Sept. 22 with a 42-13 victory over Class 5A Region 6 rival St. Clair County in Odenville. For the Panthers (4-1, 3-0), Mason Teague reached the 200-yard rushing mark for the third time this season with 211 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Jordan Bryan was 6 for 8 in passing for 64 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Cayden McMichael, who had three receptions for 48 yards.
Braydon Bowers finished with 13 tackles, followed by Tytan Rich (pictured above) with 12. Rich had two sacks, while Bowers had one. Koal Garrett and Kolby Dodd each had five stops.
The Panthers step out of region play on Friday, Sept. 29 with a home game against Boaz.
