Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall Thursday, May 29, announced his candidacy for the United States Senate, releasing the following statement:

“I’m running. It’s the honor of a lifetime serving as your Attorney General. We’ve taken bold action and gotten things done for Alabama and our country — from standing strong against the overreach and woke policies of the Biden Administration to standing with President Trump to defend our values.

“Today, I’m announcing my candidacy for the United States Senate to continue that fight and get things done for Alabama. That means continuing to work alongside President Trump to finish the job of making America Great Again by securing our border, making our communities safer, protecting our children, getting the economy going and making sure that more of Alabamians hard earned money stays in their pockets.

“I want to thank Senator Tuberville for his dedication and Service in the Senate, he leaves tremendous shoes to fill.  I look forward to building on that legacy and carrying Alabama’s voice forward in Washington.”
