Go Irish early this year, by joining Downtown Gadsden Inc., for a free concert by Irish singer/songwriter Marian Bradfield.

DGI Execuctive Director Kay Moore said Bradfield will bring her lovely, laid-back style to the Pitman Theatre on March 13. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the performance will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Bradfield is described as one of Ireland’s hidden musical treasures and is based in Donegal. She has penned three solo albums and one live album. Together with the likes of Loreena McKennitt, Marie Brennan, Hazel O’Connor, Francis Black, Rita Connolly, Mairead Ni Dhomhnaill and Katie Moffatt, Bradfield has appeared on several compilations including Celtic Woman 1 and 2. She has been voted as one of Ireland’s top ten female singers and also as one of Ireland’s best solo performers.

“Don’t miss this great opportunity to enjoy Marian’s music in the setting of the historic Pitman Theatre,” Moore said. “There is no charge for the concert and you are invited to bring food and beverage and enjoy a wonderful evening.”
