Gadsden Music Club meeting features students of local music teachers

Students of Gadsden Music Club music teachers presented the program at the club's February meeting.

 The Gadsden Music Club met recently at the Music Center at Temple Beth Israel. President Carol Larkins welcomed members and guests.

Chaplain Brenda Emery gave the invocation. Stacey Garmon led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.

Kristin Dunn led the Federation Hymn, Collect and the Hymn of the Month, “Lord, I Want to be a Christian.” Ron Higgins accompanied on the piano. 

The program featured students of the Gadsden Music Club’s teachers.

Students of Sharron Yancy were Matthew Lat-ham and Sarah Posey.

Students of Kristin Dunn were Ally Naylor and Christine Williams. Student of Patsy Bateman was Connor Overholtzer.

Students of Judy Hicks were Stacey Garmon, Alyssa Garmon, David Hicks, Brandon Hicks and Alston Hicks.

The Gadsden Music Club sponsors eight Junior Music Clubs. 

The meeting was adjourned by the singing of the National Federation of Music Club’s Benediction, “A Gift of Song.”

Sharron Yancy accompanied on the piano. 

The Gadsden Music Club is a member of the Alabama Federation of Music Clubs and the National Federation of Music Clubs.
