Third Thursday concert brings acoustic duo

Downtown Gadsden’s popular waterwall is filled with people during Third Thursday concerts.

Downtown Gadsden Inc.’s Third Thursday concert series is underway and will feature Peanut & Rush-Two of a Kind from 6 – 8 p.m. on June 19.

Each third Thursday of the summer will bring performers to the Water Wall between the Pitman Theater and the Senior Activity Center for a free concert.

Peanut & Rush are an acoustic duo from Birmingham. The duo’s style of music is a captivating blend of Motown, R&B, and jazz fused together with a touch of rock. Performances regularly include a variety of venues throughout the Southeast hailing them as one of the most requested Acoustic Duo Acts in the South.

Stop by and gather with other listeners as they kick back and enjoy great music in this relaxing atmosphere!

“We invite you to grab your coolers, dinner and a lawn chair and join us at the water,” DGI Executive Director Kay Moore said. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the free concert will begin at 6 p.m.

Seating is on a first come, first serve basis and is limited.

Everyone may bring their own chair.  In the event of inclement weather the concert will be moved inside to the Pitman Theater.
