In an ongoing issue for the Conquerors, Coosa Christian must stop shooting itself in the foot via turnovers.
Last week, the Conquerors turned the ball over on the first offensive possession and were promptly down by two touchdowns.
“We don’t need to be down that much and trying to play catch up,” coach Jason Touart said. “We’ve worked on that all week – that and stopping the run.
“We cannot stop the run, for some reason. And we’re not able to catch up when we’re down a couple of touchdowns.”
Touart said that Woodville is a physical team that doesn’t make mistakes.
“They tend to force a lot of turnovers while not making many themselves.”
Against JCA, Randy Washington rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
Johnny Grizzard completed 14 of 29 passes for 241 yards and two scores.
Wesley Grizzard caught six passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns, while Jacce Mills had four receptions for 51 yards.
Caiden Lipscomb had nine tackles, followed by Washington with seven and Drake Burger with six.
