ADVERTISING POLICY
A. Tobacco and alcoholic beverage advertising accepted.
B. Advertising simulating news copy must carry the words “Paid Advertisement.”
C. The Messenger Newspaper does not knowingly accept ads of a fraudulent, misleading, controversial or discriminatory nature and reserves the right to edit or reject any advertisement.
D. No credit will be extended without an approved credit application.
E. Businesses that do not have a permanent place in this market and will be doing business on a temporary basis will be required to pay cash in advance.
F. All ads measuring over 19 inches in depth will be billed at the full 21 1/4 inch column depth.
ERRORS
A. The Messenger will not be responsible for errors beyond the cost of the space involved and affected by the error.
B. The Messenger assumes no liability for the omission of an ad.
C. When proofs are submitted, the advertiser assumes all responsibility for any errors in the ad that may have been overlooked. Corrections will be made when specified on proofs.
POSITION REQUEST
A. The Messenger makes every effort to conform to position request, but in order to guarantee position, there is a 25% additional charge.
B. No ad will be accepted on a position request basis. All ads scheduled to run on a certain date will run regardless of position.
PROOFS/TEARSHEETS
A. Proofs and tearsheets are mailed upon request.
B. Proofs are meant for checking prices, grammar and correctness in layout. Proofs are not rewrite or design purposes. A composition charge will be made for extensive changes in the content or design.
TERMS
A. All accounts are due and payable by the 10th of the month.
B. The Messenger reserves the right to revise advertising rates without notice.
