Ashville girls, boys finish third at Oakville 5K

The Ashville High girls and boys’ cross country teams both finished third at the Oakville XC Invitational 5K on October 21 at Oakville Indian Mounds Park in Danville.
Taylor Knight’s (pictured above) first-place time of 19:55.26 paced the Lady Bulldogs. Kathleen McCarthy came in 13th place at 22:28.65, followed by Emma Drinkard in 17th at 22:58.64.
A pair of AHS boys finished in the top 10 – Joe Stevens in fourth place at 16:43.15 and Wyatt Knight in 10th at 17:31.57. Ashton Vann helped the Bulldogs with a 15th place time of 17:54.46, while Clayton Knight clocked in at 18:18.98 for 21st place.
