Etowah High School sophomore Dylan Capes pitched five innings of no-hit baseball as the Blue Devils defeated Albertville High School in Junior Varsity action on March 27, 11-0.

Capes allowed the Aggies only two base runners during the match – the first on a walk and the second on a fielding error. Capes struck out seven batters to earn the win.

“I am proud of the way Dylan pitched,” Etowah head coach Kevin Horton said. “He works hard everyday in practice so this performance really doesn’t surprise me that much. He has pitched great for us all year and he always gives us a chance to win. We expect a lot out of him in the future here.”
