The Gadsden State Community College Alumni Association is accepting nominations for its annual Alumni of the Year Awards.
“We are asking people in our service area to nominate those who have provided outstanding support to our college, students and employees,” said Heather New, president of the Gadsden State Alumni Association. “We want to honor their accomplishments as well as the support they’ve provided to others at Gadsden State. We are celebrating their legacy, which encourages and uplifts others.”
Nominations are being accepted for Distinguished Alumni of the Year and the Distinguished Service Award. Nominators do not have to be members, but it is preferred that nominees are members of the Alumni Association.
Nominations are also being accepted for Gadsden State employees for the Outstanding Support Staff Award, the Outstanding Technical Faculty Award and the Outstanding Academic Faculty Award.
Nominations for all awards are accepted from Gadsden State students, faculty, staff, alumni and community supporters. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 11.
Winners will be announced at Gadsden State’s annual holiday party scheduled for Dec. 18.
