Gadsden swearing in ceremony set for November 7 at The Venue

The City of Gadsden’s new mayor, council, and school board members will be sworn in at a public inauguration event on Monday, November 7, at The Venue at Coosa Landing located at 201 George Wallace Drive The program will begin at 10 a.m. The public is encouraged to attend.
Mayor-elect Craig Ford (pictured above) stressed that this date is an important one for the future of Gadsden and Etowah County, noting that November 7 officially marks the beginning of the next chapter in the story of Gadsden and he’d like everyone to be a part of celebrating the occasion.
“Now that the voters have chosen new leadership, it’s time to come together and chart the path forward for our city,” said Ford. “We are all eager to officially get to work, and we invite all of Gadsden to join us in our efforts to move this city forward.”
In addition to administering the oaths of office, the inauguration will include a performance by the Gadsden City High School Concert Choir, the mayor’s inaugural address and the first official meeting of the new city council.
