GOAL Foundation is hosting a fundraiser on November 20 at Back Forty Beer Company located in downtown Gadsden. The event starts at 7 p.m.

To raise money for the foundation, several specialty items will be auctioned, including a shirt signed by Cristiano Ronaldo, a soccer ball signed by David Beckham,  an autographed Manchester United soccer ball and shirt, a signed Real Madrid shirt, a Burnley FC signed shirt, a Reading FC signed shirt and a signed Scott Dann shirt worn in an English Premier League game. Back Forty Beer Company is also donating a portion of the food and drink sales on the evening of the event. Admission to the event is free.

Other Mother, a band that plays classic and contemporary rock music, volunteered to play the event. The group consists of Ron Campbell, Mike Foster, Brent Means, Michael Panik and Seth Boutwell.

There are kids in Etowah County that are insecure about food, that lack consistent water and power and that lack clothing. GOAL Foundation aims to meet these basic needs.

Gaston High School teacher Jennifer Knighton started the foundation after realizing these problems existed in her own classroom.

The foundation also hopes to use soccer to help kids grow intellectually, socially and emotionally.

All donations to GOAL Foundation are tax deductible.
