Golf Classic to raise money for Barrie Center

A Pinwheel ceremony in recognition of National Child Abuse Month. A May 4 golf tournament will raise money for the James M. Barrie Center, Etowah County's Children's Advocacy Center.

The Fraternal Order of Police and the Gadsden Water Works are sponsoring the Barrie Center Charity Golf Classic May 4 at Twin Bridges Golf Club, and it’s not too late to be a part of event.

Registration starts at 7 a.m. May 4 with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

Registration includes a gift bag, breakfast, lunch, a team golf cart and eligibility for door prizes.

All proceeds go to the James M. Barrie Center for Children, Etowah County’s Children’s Advocacy Center. The center provides invaluable help to law enforcement by conducting forensic interviews in the investigation of child abuse cases and in interviewing children who witness crimes, in an atmosphere that is more comfortable to young witnesses.

Fore more information or to register a team call 256-543-1319.
