GPL to host Magic Academy Monday

The Gadsden Public Library will host a Hogwarts approved Magic Academy Monday, July 31.
From 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. guests will be able to make their own wand with the help of Olivander’s Wand Shop. From 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., guests are invited to participate in a Defense Against the Dark Arts battle and visit the Quidditch Field in the Beautiful Rainbow Café or participate in Harry Potter Bingo in the Children’s Department. From 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., guests are invited to a potions class in the Teen Hive or Transfiguration Class in the Children’s Department.
Movie screenings begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Lena Martin Room.
To participate in the costume contest, guests must take a selfie at the Hogwarts School photo station and post the photo to Facebook using the hashtag “#gplharrypotter.” Participants will be entered in to a prize drawing.
All events are free for the public.
