Tommy Batson has been named October Employee of the Month at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Calling Batson “respected” among his peers, GRMC’s Chief Executive Officer Stephen Pennington said Batson is “willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.”

“I enjoy my job here,” Batson said. “I just wish I had gotten here a long time ago.” Batson has been with GRMC since 2002. A graduate of Etowah High School, he later attended Excelsior College, where he concentrated in computer information systems.

He and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 32 years and have two children – Brock, who is currently serving with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, and Mallory, who resides in El Paso. The Batsons have one grandson, Brayden, who is 5.
